    Written by Natalie Noor-Drugan

Berlin-based technology developer, C1 Green Chemicals has secured a €13.3 million ($14.8 million) EU Innovation Fund grant to scale up its green methanol technology at Leuna Chemical Park in Germany, building on pilot operations at a site with more than a century of methanol production history.

The company will use the funding to build and operate METHANOL.ONE, a 20 t/d demonstration plant that will convert biomethane into green methanol for use as a low-carbon fuel. Production is scheduled to begin in 2029.
