Hydropulse lands 150MW refinery deal

Hydropulse, a subsidiary of UK-based electrolyser manufacturer ITM Power, has signed a preliminary agreement with an unnamed European oil refinery to develop a 150 MW green hydrogen plant.

Under the proposed 10-year contract, Hydropulse would build, own and operate (BOO) the plant using ITM Power’s electrolyser technology. The refinery would provide the site, electricity and other utilities, an arrangement ITM Power said would reduce Hydropulse’s exposure to electricity price volatility.
