Written by Sofia D'Olivo
Sojitz Solvadis GmbH, marketer and distributor of basic and specialty chemicals, has acquired 100% of the share capital of France’s Citis SAS and Citis Forming SAS from PLF Ressources. The companies, collectively known as Citis Group, distribute liquid sulphur, provide logistics and storage services, and convert liquid sulphur into solid pastilles and other sulphur products supplied in a variety of packing sizes.
Headquartered in Colombes, Citis Group operates a sulphur forming plant in Dunkirk with an annual capacity of 65,000 tonnes, converting approximately 1,000 tonnes of liquid sulphur into solid pastilles per week. The group has more than 8,000 tonnes of total storage capacity across three dedicated terminals in Le Havre, Marseille and Dunkirk, and a wholly-owned transport fleet comprising 40 road tank cars and 10 new-generation intermodal containers. Citis SAS serves customers primarily in France, alongside selected markets in Europe and Northwest Africa.
