    Written by Natalie Noor-Drugan

The European Commission has cleared US conglomerate Koch’s plan to take joint control of a Moroccan phosphate fertilizer plant owned by OCP, the Moroccan phosphate rock and fertilizer producer. KAES Phosphate Holdings, a Koch company, will buy 50% of Jorf Fertilizers Company I (JFC1) from OCP Nutricrops. JFC1 will become a 50/50 joint venture.

The Commission cleared the deal on 30 October under its simplified merger review procedure.
