Partnership to develop green ammonia in Africa

GreenGo Energy and Jiangsu Shuangliang New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. have signed a memorandum of cooperation to jointly advance large-scale green ammonia projects in Mauritania and Namibia. The companies say that the agreement brings together GreenGo’s integrated renewable energy and Power-to-X project development experience with Shuangliang’s smart green power-to-hydrogen systems, equipment manufacturing and engineering services. The parties will now work to move the projects from concept design toward market-competitive, financeable feasibility studies and front-end engineering design (FEED).

In a press statement, GreenGo Energy said; “to deliver green competitive green ammonia at true industrial scale, strong project development has to be matched by industrial partners that can engineer and deliver the core technology. Shuangliang brings significant hydrogen-equipment and engineering capabilities, and this cooperation is an important step in maturing our Mauritania and Namibia Megaton projects toward bankable FEED and investment.”
