Sulphur market faces uncertain recovery after turbulent 2026: conference

How quickly the sulphur market will recover after a turbulent second half of the year was one of the key themes of CRU’s Sulphur and Sulphuric Acid conference in Berlin on Tuesday.
The opening day was centred on discussions over the price spikes resulting from the Strait of Hormuz supply disruptions and Russia-Ukraine conflict, which have led to demand destruction in the fertilizer sector as it contends with competition from other end-users such as metals.
