Arianne acid meets battery specifications

Phosphate developer Arianne Phosphate has received positive preliminary test results for its purified phosphoric acid from a Western-based battery materials producer. The unnamed customer confirmed that the acid meets its indicative specifications for lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) cathode active material production.
The acid was produced at pilot scale through Arianne’s partnership with US process technology developer Travertine Technologies. The process combines Arianne’s high-purity phosphate concentrate with Travertine’s technology, which recovers and recycles sulphuric acid used in production.
