The Center for Green Market Activation (GMA), Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) and climate services company 3Degrees have launched the Green Ammonia Buyers Alliance (GABA).
The alliance will pool demand from food and beverage companies for environmental certificates linked to green ammonia production. These purchases aim to provide the revenue certainty needed to support new projects.
India’s green ammonia developer AM Green has secured a 10-year agreement worth at least €585 million ($664 million) with Hintco, the trading arm of H2Global. Under the deal, Hintco will purchase renewable ammonia from AM Green’s Kakinada project for delivery to Germany, starting in 2029.
Spanish hydrogen technology developer H2SITE has secured €3.4 million ($3.8 million) in funding for its HydraNord Power project in Norway.
