Dr Burkhard Lohr , the chair of the executive board of K+S Aktiengesellschaft, will retire at the end of May next year, after more than 12 years in the role, having decided not to extend his current mandate.

Mark Thompson became Nutrien’s executive vice president (EVP) and chief financial officer (CFO) on 26th August. Mr Thompson succeeds Pedro Farah , who will remain with the company in an advisory capacity until 31st December as part of a succession plan.

Marc Hechler is EuroChem Group’s new CEO, replacing Samir Brikho who held the position since August 2022. Mr Hechler brings with him more than 20 years of global fertilizer industry experience. He has led EuroChem’s European business operations for the past five years. His leadership experience includes the successful execution of restructuring projects.

Nadja Håkansson became thyssenkrupp Uhde’s new CEO on 1st May.

Leo Alders , the CEO of LAT Nitrogen, is the new president of Fertilizers Europe. He was elected with immediate effect at an extraordinary general assembly on 5th December last year.

The ownership of Fertilizer International magazine transferred from BCInsight Ltd to CRU, the global commodities experts, at the start of the year.

Bruce Bodine will become the new CEO of The Mosaic Company from the 1st January 2024. He was unanimously elected by the company’s board of directors at the end of August. His appointment followed the announcement that the current CEO Joc O’Rourke will retire next year. Mr Bodine was also elected company president in August and appointed as a member of Mosaic’s board with immediate effect. He was previously the company’s SVP -North America.

Gustavo Horbach is EuroChem Group’s new Head of South America with responsibility for operations and strategic business development in the region. Gustavo was previously EuroChem’s VP for upstream production and investment projects in South America. He has been with the company since 2021.

Tony Will, the president and CEO of CF Industries, is the new chair of the International Fertilizer Association (IFA). He was elected in June alongside a number of other executive board members and board directors.

Abdulrahman Al-Fageeh is the new CEO of SABIC. He is also the current chairman of SABIC Agri-Nutrients, the company’s fertilizer division.
