Ecovyst Inc, a leading provider of regenerated sulphuric acid, virgin sulphuric acid, and sulphur dioxide and related derivatives, says that it has appointed Laurie Bergman as Chief Financial Officer effective August 24, 2026. Ms. Bergman replaces Michael Feehan, who will be departing the company.

Bitting, Ecovyst’s Chief Executive Officer. “On behalf of our Board of Directors and the management team, I also want to thank Mike for his hard work and dedication on behalf of the Company and for his many contributions to Ecovyst’s success. We wish Mike all the best in the future,” Mr. Bitting said.
Ms. Bergman, 49, joins Ecovyst after having previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Legacy Food Group since July 2024. From June 2021 to June 2024, she served as the Chief Financial Officer of Liquid Environmental Solutions. Before that, she served as Chief Accounting Officer, Corporate Controller and VP Accounting of UGI Corporation from February 2019 until June 2021. Ms. Bergman has served as a member of the board of directors and chair of the audit committee of Arq, Inc. since June 2023 and also has served as a member of the board of directors and member of the audit committee of QNB Corp since May 2020. It is expected that Mr. Feehan will continue as an employee of the Company until September 30, 2026 in order to provide for a smooth transition of his prior duties to Ms. Bergman.
In Colombia, Ecopetrol SA has made the following changes to its Board of Directors, at a meeting held on August 27, 2026: Sandra Lucía Rodríguez Rojas, Corporate Vice President of Territorial Transformation and HSE, will perform her duties through August 30, 2026. Miguel Ángel Cortés Angarita, currently Senior Environmental Management Professional within the same area, will assume the role of acting Vice President effective August 31, 2026.
Jaime Andrés García Cuello, Vice President of Administration and Services, will perform his duties through August 30, 2026. Álvaro Iván Saavedra Barón, currently Hydrocarbons Supply Manager within the same area, will assume the role of acting Vice President effective August 31, 2026.
Diana Marcela Jiménez Rodríguez, Corporate Director of Institutional Relations and Communications, will perform her duties through August 30, 2026. Juliana Perdomo Valencia, currently Senior Communications Specialist within the same area, will assume the role of acting Director effective August 31, 2026.
Julián Fernando Lemos Valero, Corporate Vice President of Strategy and New Business, will perform his duties through August 30, 2026. Adrian Santiago Coral Pantoja, currently Hydrocarbons New Business Manager within the same area, will assume the role of acting Vice President effective August 31, 2026.
Felipe Trujillo López, Vice President of Refining and Industrial Processes, will perform his duties through August 30, 2026. Ana Carolina Ríos Junco, currently Senior Process Engineer within the same area, will assume the role of acting Vice President effective August 31, 2026.
Ecopetrol says that it will announce the corresponding permanent appointments “in due course”.
Idaho Copper Corporation has announced the appointment of four independent directors to its board – Gil Atzmon, David Herskovits, Dr. John Moeller and Corey Redfield – and the formation of Audit, Compensation, and Nominating and Corporate Governance committees.
Gil Atzmon has more than 40 years of experience in the energy and mineral sector, spanning roles as a field engineer in oil services, an investment fund manager, an investment banker and a mining executive. He founded Zazu Metals in 2006 and served as its Chairman, CEO and a director until its acquisition by Solitario Resources Corporation in 2017; he has been a director of Solitario since 2017 and was recently named Chairman. Earlier in his career he was VP, Corporate Development of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd., a global energy and mining specialist at BNP Paribas, and Chief Investment Strategist and Portfolio Manager for US Global Investors, Inc.
