Introducing Sulphur + Sulphuric Acid Magazine

A message from our Managing Editor…
Dear Readers,
Introducing Sulphur+Sulphuric Acid
Sulphur magazine is evolving to reflect what it has always represented: the close and enduring connection between the sulphur and sulphuric acid industries, and the wider value chains they support.
For many years, Sulphur has been a trusted source of market intelligence, technical insight and authoritative commentary for professionals across both sectors. In its earlier form, the magazine carried the strapline “Journal of the World Sulphur and Sulphuric Acid Industries” – a clear signal of the breadth of its coverage. While that strapline was later lost in a redesign, the editorial focus remained unchanged.
Today, we are restoring that clarity in a way that better reflects the magazine’s role and relevance.
The new title, Sulphur+Sulphuric Acid, makes explicit what has always been true: these are two closely linked industries, and both deserve equal prominence in our pages. It also acknowledges the critical role that sulphuric acid plays across metals, mining and energy transition value chains – including copper, gold, nickel, battery materials and other sectors where sulphuric acid is central to production, processing and decarbonisation.
CRU synergy
The new name brings the magazine into closer alignment with CRU’s Sulphur+Sulphuric Acid conference brand, strengthening consistency across CRU’s market-facing offer. It gives readers, advertisers and prospects a clearer understanding of the magazine’s relevance across the full industry landscape.
As part of CRU, the magazine also benefits from the backing of wider market data, analysis and intelligence across the sulphur and sulphuric acid value chain. That foundation strengthens our ability to deliver authoritative coverage of market developments, technology, operations and end-use demand.
At its heart, this is not a change in editorial mission, but a refinement of identity.
We remain committed to delivering high-quality, relevant and insightful coverage for professionals across the sulphur and sulphuric acid value chain — now with a title that more clearly reflects that shared focus.
