    AkzoNobel to supply green hydrogen/ammonia/methanol plant

    AkzoNobel says that it is providing long-term corrosion protection and chemical and heat resistant coatings for the wind power and chemical processing facilities at the Songyuan Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park. Constructed by China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd., it is the world’s largest integrated green hydrogen-ammonia-methanol project. Now on its second phase, the industrial park operates entirely on 100% renewable electricity and is currently focused on producing 45,000 t/a of green hydrogen and 200,000 t/a of green ammonia and methanol.

    India’s CFCL starts TAN production at Gadepan

    Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals (CFCL) commenced commercial production of technical ammonium nitrate at its Gadepan complex in Kota district, Rajasthan, on 20 August, the company confirmed in a stock exchange filing. The unit produces prilled high-density ammonium nitrate (HDAN) and has a capacity of 240,000 t/a. An integrated weak nitric acid plant at the same site has a capacity of 210,000 t/a and supplies the downstream unit. Larsen & Toubro executed the works on a lump-sum turnkey basis under a technology licence from Casale, it said.
