Ostara boosts CG P2X nutrient load

Written by Natalie Noor-Drugan

Ostara has released a higher analysis grade of its CG P2X phosphate fertilizer, taking it to 9 42 0 with 9 Mg. The new formulation concentrates about 30% more nitrogen and phosphorus into each granule while keeping the product’s performance across different soils, pH levels and tillage systems.

The higher analysis is designed to let growers apply fewer pounds per acre at the same cost per acre, reducing tonnes handled, stored and transported. Ostara says CG P2X continues to deliver more than twice the plant available nitrogen, phosphorus and magnesium compared with conventional phosphate fertilizers such as MAP, DAP, NPS and TSP, where a significant share of nutrients is lost to fixation, runoff and leaching.

Results from 151 trials show consistent yield response and improved nutrient uptake through the season, in conventional, air seeding and no till systems. The new grade is positioned to give higher ROI via better nutrient efficiency and lower application rates, while also cutting nutrient losses that can impact water quality. The updated 9 42 0 with 9 Mg CG P2X formulation is available now through Ostara’s existing retail and distributor network.
