Stamicarbon to revamp urea plant

India's GAIL (India) Limited and Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly establish a gas-based urea plant in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, the state-owned gas transporter said in a stock-exchange filing on 29 July.

India’s government has set out a package of measures to strengthen domestic fertilizer production, diversify raw material and import sources, and ensure uninterrupted availability of fertilizers despite global supply disruptions and price volatility.

Hynfra, a Polish developer of green hydrogen and ammonia projects, has signed a memorandum of understanding with a Philippine partner to build a green ammonia complex on the island of Mindoro.
